Community Outreach

Recognizing that each campus is part of the larger Lehigh Valley community and that we can help each other be more sustainable is integral in the overall campus sustainability initiative.  The following should be put into action;

• Partner with local city officials, businesses & organizations, such as the Alliance for Sustainable Communities, Air Products, the Coalition for Appropriate Transport, the DEP, and Mayor Callahan
• Train Education majors to facilitate the development of ecological literacy in their young students at local primary and secondary schools by beginning projects such as conducting green house gas inventories
• Develop research & internship programs that focus on the Lehigh Valley community
